2013 subscriptions sales are on now and only through Aug 6th on Mattycollector.com! If we don’t hit the min number of sub holders we will likely do fewer figures at higher prices. But here’s hoping we don’t have to cross that bridge. Find out all the details now over on Mattycollector.com and enjoy the pics below!
We don’t have images of M. Mallah and the Brain, our Sub only figure. But will get those up ASAP for your viewing pleasure ASAP!

Saint Walker the Blue Lantern will be the Jan monthly figu if we hit the min number of subs. He will come with his lantern (not shown)

Phantom Stranger will be the Feb figure if the sub goes through. He has been a long time coming having been sculpted almost two years ago!

Big news… in 2013, all club sibscribers will have the chance to buy non-subscription products several days before they’re on sale to the public through Mattel’s EARLY ACCESS program. Hot products such Granamyr and 2013 SDCC exclusives will be availabel through the program.

The following was posted on MattyCollector.com’s Facebook page:
Hey Matty Fans,
Just flew in from SDCC (yeah yeah, boy are my arms tired…) and we are revved up for an amazing 2013 with 3 fantastic subscriptions for MOTUC (Club Eternia), DCU (Club Infinite Earth) and our all-new line of 6” figures, comic book-styled WATCHMEN in our Club Black Freighter line! How awesome is that?!

We have had a few changes from past years, the most noticeable is a price increase on basic figures (i.e., MOTUC going from $20 to $25).To quell any rumors, I can confirm we are not overloading our pockets here. This price increase is 100% due to the skyrocketing cost of producing these figures over the last few years. Every 6” figure is handmade and hand assembled. And honestly, we just can’t keep 2008 pricing anymore in 2013. Labor, raw material and shipping has all gone way up. We REALLY don’t want to cost-reduce figures by removing deco and/or accessories. To maintain the same high quality and value in our figures in today’s economy, prices do need to go up. And there is another change…

Here’s some good news…
Hi DC Universe Club Infinite Earths fans!
We have some good news…the 2012 DC Universe Club Infinite Earths subscription program is moving forward! As you know, we did not hit the number of subscribers we were seeking for the club, but we know that there are some very passionate DC Universe fans, so we found a way to make the program work.
Current subscribers will get 6″ and oversized figures according to the schedule that was originally communicated at San Diego Comic Con and online. All figures that have been revealed will be part of the subscription program.
In order to make the program work, we needed to raise prices for day-of sales. So if you are NOT a subscriber, you will be paying more for the figures on the day of the sale. The good news for subscribers is that you are locked in at the subscription rates previously advertised.
And the even better news is that we are exploring re-opening the subscription program for a limited window of time. We’ve heard fans online posting that they wish that they had subscribed, so now you’ll get that chance. Be on the lookout for more details and dates next week.
We still have more good news, we are excited to reveal the winning club exclusive figure…Metron! So all of the subscribers will get their very own Metron, along with his Mobius Chair!
All of this good news will hopefully mean a fabulous start to the weekend for all of the DC Universe fans!

This was posted by Toy Guru on the Matty forum today:
The final tally was around 60-62% (I’ll need to ask the DC team for an exact number). We are literally reviewing the numbers to see if their is anyway to go forward now that we are under 100%. It may take another week or so before we will know an answer. Fans have been so passionate, but in the end it comes down to whether their are enough of them to move forward with this program!

Here’s a new post from Toy Guru…
If the sub goes through it will be at the advertised price.
However, we are exploring the possibilty of higher prices for non sub holders who buy product day of (i.e. cherry pickers). This is similar to how magazines cost more at a news stand vs. having a subscription. This is only one of many options we are exploring based on the subscription numbers we got (less then the needed 100%) and is not at all the direction we are for sure going in. Right now we are just exploring many options to see if anything is possible to keep the sub alive based on the lower then expected sub interest.
But for those who bought a sub, if the sub goes forward you are locked in to the advertised prices even if maybe possibly day of prices goes up slightly (1 or 2 dollars).
If the sub is canceled, yes of course full refunds will be given for any charges!

Regardless of what happens with the DCUC Subscription, we really appreciate the support from all of you, and the effort made to help spread the word about the Sub. Thank you!!! For a 10-day campaign, I we did alright!
So what’s next? We wait for the announcement. According to Mattel’s Danielle McLachlan: “If the DCU subscription does not hit 100% then we have to make some decisions about the 2012 offering. More updates to come later this week!”
